MCTC Shortlisted for Safety At Sea Awards

MCTC is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted for the Safety At Sea Awards for Best Crew Welfare Campaign/ Programme.

Safety at Sea is a leading marine publication, which is part of the IHS Maritime and Trade publishing group. It focusses on safety issues for seafarers while they are out at sea.

MCTC places a high level of importance on crew welfare and the positive impact that good nutrition has on seafarers’ motivation and productivity.

Human enterprise and expertise is in abundance in the global shipping industry as individuals and companies strive to improve safety and efficient ship operations. The Safety at Sea awards recognise the best of these efforts, the stellar performers and examples of outstanding courage and bravery when it comes to preserving life at sea.

MCTC has been shortlisted for the Best Crew Welfare Campaign/Programme, along with Human Rights At Sea, International Seafarers’ Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN), ITF Seafarers’ Trust, Sailors’ Society, and Thome Group.

The Awards will be held at Le Meridien Piccadilly Hotel, London on 18th October when the winners of all categories will be announced.
